Description: Under the Old Republic, Eliad was the center of government for the Minos Cluster. The Noble Houses who ruled the Cluster kept their manors here, and the Council of Houses had its meetings here as well. When the Republic transitioned to Imperial rule, changes in government meant an end to aristocratic rule over the cluster, the nationalization of many House assets, severe restrictions on the size and armament of the House Guards, and the de facto exile of the nobility from their holdings elsewhere in the Cluster, forcing them to remain on their manors on Eliad. With the shift in Cluster government to Travnin, this world has become little more than a playground/prison for the idle rich and social elite. Extravagant parties fill the social calendar, and bored nobles seek new forms of entertainment to combat the ennui of a class that no longer serves any purpose. The Council of Houses still exists, but governs only this system rather than the entire Cluster. The local Imperial Army garrison has its officers appointed by the ruling house on the Council, which almost always appoints and promotes its own retainers and family members, giving that house de facto control over the garrison.
